Every weekend your club, your league, or your federation creates something people want to watch: live matches. Broadcasting them on YouTube or Facebook is free, but you're giving away your audience, your data, and your revenue, and you're exposed to rights-based blocks. PlagTV gives you a platform of your own to broadcast sporting events live, under your brand, and turn every match into a source of revenue.
For clubs, leagues, and federations
Sports is PlagTV's strongest vertical, and it's no accident: sporting events have loyal audiences, a recurring calendar, and clear demand to be watched live. Whether it's a futsal tournament, a league football matchday, or your neighborhood derby, the platform lets you broadcast with professional quality and monetize without depending on third parties.
- Your brand, not a social network's: your colors, your logo, and your streaming page (white-label).
- HD with no delay: smooth live broadcasting so you never miss a goal.
- Multi-device: your audience watches from their phone, computer, or tablet, in the browser or in the mobile app.
- Branded mobile app: your own app available for USD 50 per month.
- Pay-per-event, subscription, or free: charge for access to each match, sell a monthly or annual subscription to the season, or broadcast for free, depending on the case.
- Live technical support: we're with you throughout the broadcast.
How does it work?
Getting your first match on air is a matter of minutes:
- Create the event on the platform and choose whether it's paid-access or free.
- Set the ticket price and connect your Mercado Pago account.
- Share your branded streaming page: a link with your colors and your logo.
- Get paid with Mercado Pago: your audience pays, gets automatic access to the live video, and the money reaches your account, with real-time sales reporting.
No coding, no complex installations, and no risking a monthly fee before you sell your first ticket. To go deeper, see how to stream a live event and how to build your own streaming platform.
Monetize every match
An event's gross revenue is simple to estimate: ticket price times number of viewers. Amateur sporting events typically sell between USD 2 and 10 per ticket, so you don't need a huge audience for the event to be profitable.
In addition to pay-per-match, you can sell a monthly or annual subscription to the full season and charge separately for the biggest events —playoffs, finals, or a derby— outside the subscription. This way you combine recurring subscription revenue with one-off revenue from the highest-demand events.
From that gross revenue you subtract the platform commission and the Mercado Pago fee to calculate your net profit. We explain it in detail in the guide on how to charge for live streaming.
Who uses PlagTV and how?
| Type of organization | How they use PlagTV |
|---|---|
| Club | Broadcasts home matches and sells virtual tickets to fans who can't make it to the field. |
| League | Sells a monthly or annual subscription to the whole season and, in addition, charges separately for the most important matches or categories (playoffs, finals) outside the subscription. |
| Federation | Broadcasts official competitions with territory-based rights control and professional quality. |
| Production company | Produces and broadcasts events for third-party clubs or leagues, charging for access. |
Access control and territorial rights
When you sell or license the rights to your matches, it matters who can watch them and from where. PlagTV lets you geo-restrict access: you enable the broadcast only in the countries or regions you're entitled to and block the rest. This way you honor territorial rights agreements without technical headaches.
Combined with paid access through a payment gateway, you have full control over your audience: only those who paid and are in the enabled area can watch the match.
